Having Problem With My Firefox

Since yesterday I was having trouble again with my Firefox. Actually I started to experience the same problem 5 days ago when my Firefox browser updated to a new version. I was thinking to just download the Firefox3 but I don't want to deal with the same problem I experience before while I was dropping. But right now Every time I download the ff2,14 it will automatically update on the next day to ff2,18 and this won't allow me to log on to my entrecard account. Grrr I don't know what is wrong with this browser why I am always having problem. This is one of the reason why I was not able to drop yesterday and today. But I know I will get it fix eventually, but for now I have to find what the problem is.

I don't know how savvy you are technically.

And please don't try this if you are not very comfortable with your computer and have some technical knowledge.

If you don't then maybe you can find a friend who does.

The problem is that even though you are removing the program from your computer via control panel/remove programs.....the original download of FF# is still in your registry.

You will need to go inside your registry and find everything marked Mozilla and delete it.

But, please, please don;t do this on your own if you have never been inside of your registry before.

This is the heart of your computer and one wrong deletion can kill your computer forever.

Also you might try a simple system restore. If it will let you restore far enough back to when you upgraded.

I hope this explains a little about what might be happening to you.

Hi.
I don´t know if it helps much, but I caught a virus while dropping ECs and my Firefox stopped working. And I wasn´t the only one, I read other posts about this.
I couldn´t make drops too.
Do you use a good antivirus or adware removal software?
Make a check, maybe you caught the same bug.
Cheers!

I got no problems using the latest version of FireFox and dropping ECs with it.

Shinade's suggestion can be effective, but it really requires technical knowledge. Mize's suggestion is useful too, and can be done by not-so-tech-savvy users. Try to do Mize's suggestion first.

If you have to disable Firefox update, then just go to Tools > Options > click Advanced > click Update tab, then uncheck "Automatically check updates to Firefox". That should work out for you so that you don't get the latest Firefox.

Ivy,

Why not try doing a rollback for a while or if I may suggest, use Flock. It has the same functionalities as Firefox dahil iisa ang engine nila. However, wala lang GOogle toolbar ang Flock. If you can live without the G toolbar, then I highly recommend Flock. :-)
