I Love My Fish

When my sister told me that she was going to have fish for her breakfast, she asked me if I want to join her for breakfast, and of course I didn’t refuse because I have been craving fish since I got her in the US. I am so glad that when she went to the Asian store she was able to buy some fresh fish. We call it “galung-gong” in the Philippines, and it is really yummy even you just fry it. Our husband’s don’t want to see us eating the fish because they are afraid of the head, we love to eat the head part of the fish, unlike them they usually remove the fish head before cooking it. My sister took a snapshot of me while I was having fun with my one whole piece of fish. It was really yummy, indeed.

It was the best meal I had, since I got here in the US. I can feel how bloated I am. Imagine me and my sister ate all the rice that she just cooked. You can’t imagine how really happy I am, I don’t care if I have fish with rice everyday. This is how we grew up, in the Philippines we ate fish almost everyday, so we are use to eating fish, dried fish and vegetables because we cant afford to buy meat. We were only able to eat meat when my mom had extra money.

There are times that I am really sad because I miss so many things, I miss those things I use to eat when I was in the Philippines, so I promised myself once we can go for a vacation in the Philippines, I will surely make a list of the foods that I want to eat, so that I wont forget any of it. ***wink***
